The Esplanade Association Advertising

The Esplanade Association (TEA) is a nonprofit collaboration working to protect, restore, and beautify Boston’s historic Charles River Esplanade. Each year TEA sponsors a team of Boston Marathon runners as they battle the storied race course as they raise funds for Boston's beloved Esplanade. This campaign was developed to raise awareness of The Esplanade Association's involvement with the BAA and their Charity Program.

Live Oak Property Group needed a new brand to better convey their commitment to eco-development. Veraqua developed the notion of the "treeprint". The Treeprint illustrates Live Oak leaving an ecological fingerprint within the communities that they develop their real estate projects.

Hoperbee

This start-up, a company devoted to new parents and their children, wanted to create a visual brand that would be modern, but hearken back to a simpler time. The Hoperbee logo works with a fluidity of the script font and a gentle gradation of color. The illustration of the bee and its path speak to the youthfulness and creative elements of their products.

Panza Restaurant
Panza is a classic Italian restaurant in Boston's Historic North End that re-introduces the concept of a neighborhood kitchen restaurant to a new generation of diners. We developed a logo and brand that incorporates the aged ink and script style of vintage handwriting. Elements of this style and scripting are used throughout the Panza projects—menus, website, advertising.

Anchovies Food & Spirits

Anchovies is one of the few Boston watering holes that stays open into the wee hours of the night. This iconic South End eatery changed ownership and wanted to take the next step and create more awareness about this great place. Trying to maintain the integrity of what people have come to expect and grow and change with the times can be a tough challenge. While updating the brand to mirror the well-known neon sign, Veraqua revamped the logo. We then created new menu layouts and web design to incorporate the brand elements.

After having designed the brand and web site for CrazyBroad, we began to work on their product development. We began with their line of greeting cards. Each card had to have an original look and feel. Having been given carte blanche afforded us the opportunity to design a broad spectrum of illustrated printed cards.

Making use of the Pythagorean theorem, we created a Winter Holiday Card with a bit of whimsy thrown in. An illustration to resemble an old blueprint and then a corresponding winter scene was created to represent the formula.

Green Eyed Cider

An award-winning design, Green Eyed Cider was developed for Avery Dennison's Dec Tech Division, now Multi-Color Corporation, to showcase their heat-transfer labeling and packaging technology. Making use of the photo-realistic capabilities offered by this technology, Veraqua develop a brand and package design that would be above and beyond the existing shelf presences within the beer industry.

Flanagan's Boston Lager was developed for the Decorating Technology Division of Avery Dennison. The brand, naming, package design, and image sourcing were completed by Veraqua.

Jinx Shiraz

The Jinx Shiraz packaging utilized a press-sensitive film label and high-quality gravure printing to showcase the fine gradients and intense colors within this illustration. An opaque metallic gold for the typeset logo rounds out this abstract package design.

Apparition Wine Design

Apparition was designed in order to show how the packaging industry could create an acid-etched bottle without actually having to use that specific process. Working closely with the team that is now at Multi-Color Corporation, we used their innovative heat transfer technology to create the "etched" female apparition in the same printing cycle as the metallic inks. A gorgeous result, this package won an award in design and packaging excellence.

Using a Press-Sensitive Clear Film for this promotional package design, we sourced imagery and developed this fictional brand for the Decorating Technologies Division of Avery Dennison (now Multi-Color Corporation). This photographic driven design was developed in order to specifically showcase this new technology's superior printing advantages.

CrazyBroad

CrazyBroad offers a truly unique twist on the everyday card and gift items. Offering side-splitting greeting cards, elegant and unique note cards, and other great gift ideas, their branding needed to be unique, but still universal enough to apply to a variety of branded items and marketing materials. The web presence had to reflect this brand and be at the forefront of User Interface design. Veraqua incorporated an easy-to-use back-end database design for the client to easily upload and manage new products.
